Dear Neighbors:
Over the coures of the past two years, I have worked hard to fight for the interests of local residents in Harrisburg. As a member of the House Appropriations Committee, I helped lead the effort to pass a balanced, on-time budget that was fiscally responsible and did not raise taxes. At the same time, I also worked to ensure that we maintained the proper funding priorities.
As a result of our bi-partisan efforts, we were able to restore crucial education funding for local school districts, restore funding for programs designed to help meet the basic needs of local families in the current economic climate, and restore funding for important environmental efforts such as open space preservation and protecting our watersheds.
